Queensland Music Festival and The Push join forces to bring all-ages show to Mackay
MACKAY, QUEENSLAND – National youth music organisation The Push is bringing all-ages live music to young people in Mackay, while developing the next generation of young music practitioners with its All-Ages Events Team program.
For an afternoon on Saturday 6 July, The Arcadia Bar will be home for a one-off special event, as part of The Reef Trail, a feature of QMF’s QLD Music Trails program. Featuring headliners Great Gable and Kitschen Boy and showcasing local Mackay talents Giant Palms and Tiffany Grace as support acts, this indie show is an incredible opportunity for local artists as well as underage audiences.

This special show will also feature the energy and enthusiasm of an amazing group of young people from the Mackay region. Over the past two months, The Push has been working closely with QMF and Mackay Regional Council to support 8 young people to build their knowledge of the contemporary music industry and develop skills in event management and promotion. The All-Ages Event Team has worked on all aspects of the show, from producing posters to selecting the support acts through a local band competition.

This is The Push’s first live music event in Queensland, collaborating with QMF, QLD Music Trails, The Reef Trail and Mackay Regional Council to bring these much-needed live music experiences to young people during the most formative times of their lives.
