The Music Careers Expo is back in August 2024, across three locations in Victoria, South Australia and Queensland.
Featuring workshops, presentations and information stalls, the Music Careers Expo is a fun and interactive way for you to learn about the various career pathways in music, as well as meet one-on-one with artists, industry practitioners and education providers who can provide you with tailored advice.
If you have a passion for Australian music and are keen to pursue a career in the industry, the Music Careers Expo is for you.
Secondary schools across Queensland, South Australia and Victoria are encouraged to bring student groups to this free, one-day event.

How to get there
Parking
Please note that Category one (blue) and category two (green) permit holders are entitled to park in an ordinary parking bay for twice as long as indicated on the parking sign (under Road Rule 206).
Public Transport
Train – we are 50m from Richmond station, which is partially accessible via the Swan st entrance. Please note: this station has ramps, however they have a fairly steep gradient so may be difficult for some wheelchair users. The station has no platform lifts.
Tram – The number 70 tram from Flinders st. to Wattle Park passes right past the front door of the Corner and you should get off at stop no. 9. Please note: this tram stop is not wheelchair accessible.
Bus – The 246 bus from Elsternwick to Clifton Hill stops at the corner of Hoddle and Swan streets (350m from the venue) and is wheelchair accessible.
Drop off / Pick up
There are areas available for drop off and pick up on either side of the venue. There is an Uber drop off/ pick up area at the corner of Stewart st and Wangaratta st. Please note: the wheelchair accessible door is on Botherambo st and there is a loading zone outside this door. For ease of drop off/pick up for wheelchair users please use 19 Botherambo st, Richmond as the drop off/ pick up address when ordering or directing transport..

Food and Drink
We recommend bringing a packed lunch, snacks and a water bottle! However, the Corner Hotel kitchen will be open for orders, so if you prefer to purchase your lunch make sure you bring some money (cash or EFTPOS available) with you. A reduced menu will be available on the day. Alcohol will not be sold throughout the event.

Wheelchair access
The majority of the rooftop bar is accessible for wheelchair users via our lift. The lift is located at the rear of the front bar, near the pool table.
Wheelchair accessible entrance – Access for wheelchair users is via Botherambo st, please see our security staff at the front entrance or call the venue on (03) 9427 7300 for entry to the venue.
There is a fully accessible toilet in the rooftop bar, complete with wheelchair height basin and mirror. There is also an ambulant toilet in the ladies’ bathrooms.
The main band room is all one level except for some viewing steps at the back.
We have designated quiet areas for those who experience sensory issues (as outlined on map). Please contact a Push staff member on the day if you require assistance.

+ What can I expect on the day?
Get ready to be inspired and learn about the types of careers that exist within the Australian music industry. You can expect to hear from music industry professionals, participate in interactive workshops, get one-on-one career advice and meet with education and training providers at our expo stalls.
There’ll also be food and drinks available throughout the day and live music to keep you entertained.

It’s FREE! The Music Careers Expo is a free event, however registrations are essential to secure in your spot.

No registration needed! Just head to the area marked on the map at the right time and our friendly event team will connect you with a great person to speak to. These sessions can be popular, so make sure to head there early if you're keen!
+ I’m a music teacher, can I bring my whole class?
Yes, you may! But please remember that registrations are required before attending.
+ I’m a young person, can I volunteer on the day?
