The Push are back at Vivid Sydney, putting on a FREE all-ages show with Sneaky Sound System and Tiffi!
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances Mallrat will no longer be performing on 24 May.
Kick off Tumbalong Nights in style and immerse yourself in Vivid Sydney’s first night of live music with the wry and dreamy sounds of Sydney’s tiffi followed by local legends Sneaky Sound System, with their infectious electro-pop sounds.
Sneaky Sound System became a prominent act in the Australian music scene after their self-titled 2006 album, including hit singles "I Love It" and "UFO", won them ARIA Awards for Breakthrough Artist and Best Dance Release. Renowned for their dynamic live performances and distinctive blend of electro-pop with Connie Mitchell's powerful vocals, the band remains a vibrant force in both the Australian and international music scenes.
Taiwanese-Australian singer-songwriter tiffi hails from Western Sydney and has been making her self-described “bedroom pop goodness” since she was 11. Having performed at SXSW Sydney and opened for grentperez at his sold-out Sydney shows in 2023, tiffi promises an electrifying live performance brimming with her rich and infectious indie-pop.
Introduce The Push’s Band Comp Winner: The Toothpicks!
Since forming in 2022, The Toothpicks have blasted their way into Australia’s indie rock scene, releasing a trio of irresistible tunes, selling out four 200+ capacity headline shows, rocking Someday Soon, winning a slew of band competitions, and playing a formidable 87 gigs in 2023 alone.
After an explosive start to 2024 supporting Lime Cordiale, Pacific Avenue and The Smith Street Band, alongside their own sold-out Great Southern Nights headline (and all without any form of artist representation), The Toothpicks are primed and ready to earn their place within the vibrant, eclectic international music landscape.
Inspired by the fearlessness of heroes like Arctic Monkeys, the Beatles, Amy Winehouse, Jeff Buckley and the Strokes, their sound is gleefully uncategorisable - a maelstrom of garage, funk, pop, disco and jazz which throws absolutely everything at the wall and makes damn sure it sticks.
