MELBOURNE: The Music Careers Expo is a free, one-day event for young people that provides you with insights and information on how to get a start in the Australian music industry.
The Music Careers Expo is back across July and August 2025, with events in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and – for the first time – Sydney!
Featuring interactive workshops, keynote presentations and information stalls, the Music Careers Expo is a fun and interactive way for you to learn about the various career pathways in music, as well as meet one-on-one with artists, industry practitioners and education providers who can provide you with tailored advice.
If you have a passion for Australian music and are keen to pursue a career in the industry, the Music Careers Expo is for you.
Secondary schools across Queensland, South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria are encouraged to bring student groups to this free, one-day event.

The Music Careers Expo is FREE to attend, but registrations are essential.

Help deliver the 2025 Music Careers Expo! Join the Events Team!
The Push is looking for young people aged 15 – 17 years interested in a career in music from Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney to lead the delivery of our Music Careers Expo events.
Participants of the Music Careers Expo Events Team will take part in an eight-week learning program, receiving hands-on experience, developing skills, and gaining valuable connections within the Australian music industry.
As part of the team, you’ll learn how to put on an expo style event across multiple states, gaining experience in event management, stage management, promotions and marketing, video production, photography, artist liaison and bookings – as well as join the huge Push music community across the country.
Music Careers Expo Events Team meetings will be held weekly and mostly online in the lead up to the in-person events.
