New Slang Events Team

The Push and Arts Centre Melbourne are looking for 12 dedicated and enthusiastic tastemakers aged 15-17 to lead the organisation and programming of New Slang and become members of our events team for 2019.

New Slang is a monthly, live music series co-presented by The Push and Arts Centre Melbourne. These intimate and exclusive events showcase both touring and local artists to Melbourne’s all-ages audiences.

As a New Slang events team member, you will gain hands on experience, training and networking opportunities in the contemporary music industry, across a range of areas including:

• Stage Management
• Technical and Sound Production
• Promotions and Marketing
• Video Editing and Production
• Photography
• Artist Liaison and Bookings

In addition to organising monthly all-ages events at Arts Centre Melbourne, New Slang events team members will have the opportunity to curate and work on a large scale event in Melbourne CBD in November.

New Slang events team meetings are fortnightly on Wednesday nights between 5pm and 7pm at The Channel, Arts Centre Melbourne.
