You’ve been pretty busy this year already! What have your highlights been for the first half of 2017?
This year has been amazing, the highlights runs deep lol. Performing in Sydney for Lowton was absolutely amazing, getting a feature in ID magazine, the BIGSWELL show plus having amazing & supportive individuals around me makes the puzzle fit.
Who’s been some of your favourite acts to share the stage with so far?
It’s been dope sharing the stage with all the incredible artists from the Big Swell show, they are all extremely talented, actually cannot breathe cause they took my breath away *so cheesy. Australia’s literally got the best artists.
Some of your favourite artists or influences in general?
Lately I’ve been digging Skepta, not because he’s Nigerian like myself but his music is just really dope. When I want to listen to some chilled music I like Lucky Dube & Joe bellion.
When you’re not playing music, what other things are you doing?
When I’m not doing music, I’m usually just chilling at home with my family because there’s so many of us in the house that it’s so entertaining lol I’m usually just roaming around annoying everyone. I also chill with close friends which we literally spend most of our times laughing.
What do you set out to achieve with your live performances and how do you feel when you’re performing on stage with a live audience?
Getting people to vibe to not only my music but also to me as an artist on stage is what I set to achieve because my stage presence defines who I am not only as an artist but also as a person. By the end of the night I want people to be comfortable enough to approach me, like lets vibe & laugh together : )
How do you come up with your material? Care to take us through a typical song writing process?
I’m all about vibes, that’s why when it comes to music, vibes is very important. For instance when I first hear a beat & if I can’t vibe to it then it’s going to be difficult writing but if I can vibe to it then everything just flows.
What kinds of things do you like writing songs about? What comes easiest to you?
When it comes to writing songs, I usually find it extremely easy when I’m writing about things I’ve witnessed in my environment or the things I’ve experienced during my years of living in the world. Everything flows naturally when you’re aren’t making things up.
Where can people find out more about your upcoming gigs and tunes?
