Walk This Way: Five week hip hop program for international students

WalkThisWay_A4_PosterWalk This Way is a five week hip hop program of workshops, cultural institution tours, and cultural dinners which invites international students and local residents aged 18-30 to engage by creative means in Melbourne. It’s free and will run during April/May.

Over the five week program participants will be mentored by professional artists in the hip hop forms of MCing, DJing, Breakdance and Street Art. Please view the program below.

Workshops hosts include dancers B-Boy Sette and Demilition B-Girl, MC’s Feva Pres and Class-A, DJ’s MzRizk and Rellik, and aerosol artist Cam Scale.

This will coincide with key speaking tours of some of Melbourne’s peak cultural institution, including the Arts Centre Melbourne, Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), and Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA). To round things off, there will be a cultural dinner at various spots around Melbourne.

Walk This Way will conclude the project with a celebratory jam with all mentors and participants at DJ MzRizk’s Block Party event on Sunday May 24.
