Songwriting Mentoring Program in 2016

Adalita - Copy (2)Attention Victorian songwriters! Push Songs’ innovative and inspiring song writing mentoring program continues into its 8th year throughout February and March 2016 and again it’s FREE!

To develop your song writing skills, successful applicants will take part in 3, one on one song writing workshops, plus be invited to join the Tuesday Night Song Club and meet and share ideas and live performance opportunities with fellow songwriters.

Working alongside Push Songs coordinator Charles Jenkins, will be a bevy of experienced song writing mentors including Adalita (pictured) Wil Wagner (The Smith St Band), Ainslie Wills and Paul Dempsey (Something for Kate).

Participants from all corners of the state of Victoria and of any age, are encouraged to apply for the Brunswick-based program managed by The Push and APRA/AMCOS and supported by Creative Victoria and the Australia Council.


Established in 2009, Push Songs acknowledges the artistic, creative and long term career impact that passing on experience, skills, ideas, knowledge, encouragement, confidence and inspiration brings to the songwriter. Push Songs is a significant link in the music industry offering creative, practical advice, networking and performance opportunities to up and coming Victorian songwriters.
