The Music Industry Pathways program offers the opportunity for young and/or emerging performers and industry practitioners to be teamed up with an established music industry professional to gain advice, get hands-on training and experience, and learn more about the career opportunities that exist within the industry.

The program includes one-on-one mentoring, access to tailored Masterclasses, networking activities and skills development opportunities. Mentoring is offered to not only artists but also those with an interest in artist management, record labels, technical & production, marketing and publicity and more.

The program will run from March – November 2018 and mentees will also get the opportunity to work on the annual Face The Music conference.

As part of the annual Music Industry Pathways program, The Push will commit places in the program to the following key participant groups:

  • SQUAD – all female trans or non gender conforming mentoring program for performers, includes extra development workshops with aims for greater support and visibility for young and/or emerging female trans and gender non-conforming artists.
  • The Corner Group Diversity in Audio program – a mentoring program for women, trans and non-binary people and people of colour who are interested in a career in the audio and technical industries. The program provides skill development activities and training in the renowned Melbourne venues Northcote Social Club and the Corner Hotel with support and assistance from Corner Group.
