The Music Industry Pathways program offers the exciting opportunity for young and/or emerging performers and industry practitioners to be teamed up with an established music industry professional to gain advice, get hands-on training and experience, and learn more about the career opportunities that exist within the industry. The program includes one-on-one mentoring, access to tailored Masterclasses, networking activities and skills development opportunities. Mentoring is offered to not only artists but also those with an interest in artist management, record labels, events, technical & production and marketing, media & publicity.
Participants maybe selected for further opportunities including:
- The Corner Group Diversity in Audio
- Native Tongue Songwriters Stream
- Her Sound Her Story photography and videography stream
While the Music Industry Pathways program is open to everyone over the age of 18 and emerging, priority participation areas have been identified to support a more representative music community. Priority participation areas include:
- First Nations young people
- Young people of colour
- Young women
- Non-binary young people
- LGBTQIA+ young people
- Young people with a disability
The program will run from March – November 2019 and mentees will also get the opportunity to work at Changes Festival.
To apply you must be at least 18 years of age and reside in Victoria.
