ANNUAL ALL AGES LIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL

The Push, triple j, jmag and Fasterlouder present

PUSH OVER FESTIVAL A HUGE SUCCESS

Despite historic torrential rain, hail and flash flooding across Melbourne, nearly 2800 young people descended on The Push’s annual all ages music event, Push Over Festival (Sunday, March 7, 2010 at The Abbotsford Convent).

The Push would like to thank everyone who attended Push Over despite the harsh and unpredictable weather conditions.

The Push’s Artistic Director, Shane Wickens says, “We would like to thank the 40 local and Aussie bands that played across our four stages at Push Over this year.”

“We couldn’t have done it without the tireless work of our 100 plus staff, Youth Advisory Committee and volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly.”

“It has been particularly rewarding to see the recent success of artists like Yves Klein Blue, Yacht Club and Break Even who we booked for the event over four months ago,” he says.

“We would also like to congratulate the winners of our various Push Over competitions!”

The Houses from Geelong took out FReeZA Push Start Grand Final Winner for 2010, while 8 Bit Love from Shepparton received the FReeZA Push Start APRA Songwriting Award.

In the Push It! hip hop area, Ilyak took best artist in the MC Battle, with runners up going to Defron, while the K.O Crew took first place in the3-on-3Breakin’ Battle, against runners up Mass Mayhem.

Stay tuned for Push Over 2010 photo galleries. In the meantime, check out Fasterlouder!
