The Push Inc and Arts Centre Melbourne are on the hunt for a musician aged 13 to 18 years old to support The Smith Street Band’s Wil Wagner at the August edition of New Slang, The Push Inc & Arts Centre Melbourne’s ongoing series of all-ages live music events.
This is a huge opportunity for a young musician to play a show with one of the most well known figures in contemporary Australian punk music. The competition is open to all musicians aged 13 to 18 living in Victoria, and the winner will be selected by the New Slang Events Team and Wil Wagner. New Slang is a series of monthly all-ages events held at The Channel, Arts Centre Melbourne. These intimate and exclusive events showcase local and touring artists to a new generation of young music fans. New Slang is programmed and managed by an underage events team from across Victoria. In 2017 New Slang continues to introduce a generation of young people to Melbourne’s vibrant, exciting live music scene.
