TWO THOUSAND AND EIGHTEEN is going to see the Music Industry Pathways Program finally hitting its teens!
For the 13th year The Push will be teaming up young/emerging performers and those behind the scenes with established industry professionals to gain advice, get hands-on training and experience, as well as learn more about career opportunities in the music industry.
Music Industry Pathways is a program that has supported the careers of artists such as Courtney Barnett, Alice Ivy, Alexander Biggs and Angie McMahon in previous years as participants and has perviously involved mentors Darren Middleton (Powderfinger), Jen Cloher, Tom Larkin (Shihad) and Sui Zhen.
This program isn’t just for artists though. Anyone who is keen on other careers such as in artist management, record labels, technical production, marketing/publicity and everything in between is encouraged to apply.
Successful pathways applicants will get:
- the opportunity to be Mentored one-on-one with an industry professional
- the opportunity to attend masterclasses from a range of industry leaders
- to participate in Face The Music
- access to a web portal with interning, networking and job opportunities
Applications are now closed. Stay tuned for the next round!
